The sites on these pages range from those that require little or no attention from one year to the next (a static site) to those with full CMS (content management solutions). If you wish to have a static site you will probably only want to change the annnual rates on your site. If this is the case then you dont really need anything elaborate (a content management solution) as the web designer can do it for you. However you could have an availability calendar and/or many other features that can be intergrated into your site. This would enable you to ..

Accommodation listings are now very competitive and simply having your own accommodation website is no longer enough in itself to ensure bookings. In order to address this - Specialist Indexing sites have sprung up to optimise this gap in the market (incidentally they are both the cause and the reason that holiday accommodation owners need them in the first place).

These companies do this by accruing large numbers of clients which Search engines automatically will give a higher ranking to. Invariably the top listings in any Google search for self catering will take you to either one of these sites - or a listing that has been placed on one of these sites. Those that dont do this end up on the 10th page of listings, sad but true.

UPR strongly advise that to ensure good bookings throughout the season the client should shop around, talk to others and get listed with a good accommodation-index company.
